2014 YARD SESSIONS WITH PAUL LANGLANDS

  • 1 min read

Paul Langlands sent out the invites for the 2014 Langlands Yard Session in his New Zealand Metal Mulisha BMX Compound located in his backyard. This is the second time Paul has put on the Langlands Yard Sessions. Last year’s event attracted some of the best Kiwi and Aussie BMX dirt jumpers and they returned again this year to, as Paul always likes to say, “get it done”.

“Yesterday was a sick day! Had a bunch of my buddies from Australia, New Zealand and USA to ride the my yard. My Mulisha team mate Thomas Glew was even out hitting the jumps. Everyone threw down some heavy tricks for the comp”. – Paul Langlands

Hugh Wotherspoon won best trick with a double flip over the 30ft first, this was his first double flip he’d tried to dirt and stomped it clean. Joe Simpson and Mike Hucker Clarke took the best style prize with smooth and consistent riding throughout the day with some big tricks thrown in there! The event was rider voted and although we didn’t think it was possible until after votes were tallied, Paul came in with the Best Rider title!

“The day was chill as with no format, judges or spectators, just riders and film crew. It made it easy-going with good vibes and everyone having good time riding bikes.” – Paul Langlands
