Derek Garland spent years riding freestyle demos and touring shows with Metal Mulisha. His schedule included Nuclear Cowboyz, Mayhem Festival, Dew Tour, Journeys events and military demos, with compound sessions between trips.

Garland also rode with Metal Mulisha Fitz Army on America's Got Talent in 2015. His tricks included the rock solid, which he demonstrated in MM's riding tutorials. He used footage from practice to go back through his runs and work on the tricks before the next tour.
