Our friends over at Freerider MX checked in with Truman Carroll and announced that he’ll be riding the first round of Red Bull X-Fighters in Mexico.
You’ve come off a pretty big 2012 mate, and now seem to be going into 2013 even bigger! You’ve got a new manager, new deals and some big announcements to make.
Yeah, it’s been great. Last year was pretty good. I was just trying to break in and make a bit of an impact. It seemed to have worked and this year I was able to pick up a heap of new sponsors with One Industries, Oakley, Five Three Designs, Etnies as well as maintaining the great partnerships I had with Metal Mulisha, MX Store and Josh from NKDC. Everyone has really helped me out and it looks like I’m going to have a big 2013.
Awesome mate! We’ve just had our latest issue come out with the Reader’s Choice Awards and the results for best up and comer came down to the absolute wire with you and Tyrone Gilks. You’ve gotta be pretty stoked with that?
I was stoked. Myself, Tyrone and Joel Brown have all been riding well and to be up there with those two is a privilege. I thought it could have gone either way with those two, so I’m pumped to grab second place, it was a nice way to finish of 2012.
