Todd Potter rode for Metal Mulisha in the compounds, in the films and at X Games. His whips took three straight X Games Best Whip golds before he finished second to Twitch in 2011. He also rode full freestyle contests, putting backflip tricks into runs on big dirt courses.

At Glen Helen in 2012 he won Red Bull X-Fighters on a course built into the hills, including a 60 foot step-up that much of the field wouldn't attempt. Potter beat Thomas Pages in the final and Wes Agee finished third. Potter's own compound was also a regular spot for Mulisha riding and filming, with natural terrain jumps like the ones he was competing on.
